Question about shippers

I recently bought a Sigma 50-500 from amazon (a fairly large lens weighing over 4 lbs.)  Amazon's packing was alarming -- simply putting the sigma box in another shipping box twice its size.  No air pillows, no packing materials, nothing to keep the sigma box from slapping around inside the package.  Fortunately, sigma protects its lenses well in their package and the lens appears to be fine.  My experience with B&H and KEH is much better.  Both a pleasure to work with.
