W8 user accounts

The first account that you create in W8 will always be an administrator account. Subsequent accounts that you may wish to create have the option of being either a standard or administrator accounts.

On the assumption that the first account you create is your own account, then if you want to change that to a standard account, you MUST create a second account and make that an administrator account. There MUST always be at least one account on a Windows 8 system that has administrator privileges.
