I use to be a JPEG only kind of guy. That was mainly because I was pretty happy with my jpegs and I was good at editing them. I kept running into difficulty with white balance though. I can bump contrast and saturation easily in a jpeg but correcting white balance is a lot harder, but still doable. I then started shooting in jpeg+raw mode and started noticing how easily I could fix white balance AND fix exposure with the raw files. It was a lot easier to bring out the details in underexposed shots. Before I knew it, I was editing the raw files for every pictures and loved the results I was getting. Now I'll rely on jpegs usually for sharing, but if the picture is good and I want to make it great or it needs to be fixed up, then I go to the raw.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to say is that jpegs are fine, especially Olympus jpegs (hard to reproduce the same skin tones!). What I've learned though is that you can almost always do better with the raw file, even if it's just something like noise reduction. Just shoot jpeg+raw and have the best of both worlds.
