SONY R1 still attractive ?

The R1 is about 7 years old and while it took nice images is a bit dated, not to mention kind of bulky.

Depends on the price of course, but the NEX models have the same size sensor, higher resolution, much better LCD's, much better high ISO performance, smaller size, and a wider range of lens choices.

For the right price the R1 wouldn't be a bad buy, but unless money was really an issue, I'd look at the current m4/3, NEX, Fuji's etc, even a RX100
