Multi frame noise reduction mode is great for low light macro!

I've been trying to take macros of my own eye - light seems to be a critical issue as I wouldn't want to use a flash. I experimented with the MFNR modes up to 12800 and was surprised at how well it works. All these shots were indoors with low natural light so I had to use f2.8 despite the high ISO. But without this mode I would not have been able to take these shots!
Does anyone else use this mode for macro?
