T4i AF vs previous Rebels

The T4i is the first Rebel, and I think the first model in this class, to offer all cross-type AF points. But when I read about the T4i the headlines seem to tout the flip screen and video stuff while hardly the AF points.
Just curious, does anyone else think the 9 cross-point AF is a major enhancement that's being hugely understated?
