Canon G15 saving .jpg in a much lower quality even than Canon G9?

For the mannekin G9 = 5.9 MB; G15 = 5.6 MB.

So for all practical purposes the G9 and G15 in Superfine are equal.

If they shoot in RAW and then convert in .jpg, it's a different story. I've checked them too, and they have JPEG QUALITY=96%, so they are OK. I'm pretty sure they haven't shoot in Auto mode though
