In X2 and X3 in order to have synced color profiles for soft proofing and printing there are two operations:

1.Go into your printer driver and select the profile.

2. In PSPX preferences/Color management select the profile for the soft proof.

In applications like Photoshop you can choose Let PS Color Manage the Printer. Thus there is only one selection involved in setting the printer profile. (There is also the option to do the two step selection). When PS manages color, you set color management in the printer driver to none.

In QImage setting the printer profile is the same as Photoshop. You can choose if Q color manages the printer. If so you turn off CM in the printer driver.
