X100, Is there any serial numbrs that are safe from SAB?

My black X100 SN 6,8XX-ish is OK in that department by day five... but it has locked up twice tonight (would not take commands, would NOT TURN OFF!) so I had to remove battery and lost my custom settings... I was working on custom white balance in manual mode at the time... looked at the manual (OH BY THE WAY... the darn DVD loads only the pointless software, not the manual and the print version is so small and faint!!!) ... anyway one of the most important suggestions in troubleshooting is:  "Camera is unresponsive (YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!), remove battery and reinsert."  GREAT!!! Guess I'll be doing that often!  The X100 is sitting next to my Nikon S-2... they look like family, but junior is not anywhere near as reliable... oh well... it should prove to be better as I get more familiar with it's "quirks!"  But at these prices, the camera should not be so quirky!
