Canon controlling prices

Went to buy a 7D at a local camera store, printed the ad from Amazon from yesterday in hopes of getting a price match.  Price on Amazon was $1357 YESTERDAY...today, Amazon has it for $1499 and apparently it's because Canon said as of November 1st, they control price.

Got a free lens rental for a weekend instead.
