Canon FD 85/1.8 disassembly help please?!

Well, I sprang for the spanning wrench and the vanity ring came off without a hitch...but now I'm presented with this:

No more retaining rings, no accessible screws

I see three screws behind the front element, but I cannot get at them. All other pictures I've seen of dismantled nFD lenses have a retaining ring covering screws holding the focus ring on to get to the front element.

Here's the best schematic I managed to find for this lens. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I need to get to the second and third element behind this front element to clean fungus.
