LR4: setting white and black point
Nov 1, 2012

Hi, how do you guys go in terms of setting a white and black point when developing a raw file? Do you do it for every picture? If the highlights, as seen in the hystogram, are far away from the clipping point do you still set a white point pushing everything to the right (and same for the blacks on the other side)?

Do you set the white and black point before touching the other sliders or you use the sliders in their order as Adobe suggests?

Finally, I do all the exposure adjustments (I mean all sliders) before adding contrast, do you do the same or use the Contrast slider right after the Exposure slider (and before Highlights, Shadows etc.)?

Very interested in knowing your workflow!
