I've been travelling on the indian subcontinent 8 times in the last 40 years and to be honest, I think any lens will do. I remember using only a Rollei TLR and came back with great photo's.

In your case I think I would take the 12-50 (it covers the range of the other two lenses) and a longer zoomlens like 40-150 would be great. Don't make the mistake taking to much, otherwise you'll be busy changing lenses all the time. There is a lot to see, so don't miss it.

If you go to Delhi,  the streets behind the Jama Mashid are great to wander around and take pictures of all that's happening in the street. If you have the time make at least a daytrip to Agra. You have to see the Taj Mahal once in your life. take the early morning Taj Express train (back in the evening) or better, get a car with driver for the whole day.
