The ep1,2, and 3 all share the same image sensor with the epl1,2, and 3. The epm1 also uses the same sensor. Image quality on all these will be nearly identical. The rest is just ergonomics and features. The newest- epm2 and epl5 and OMD all have a newer sensor that is much improved. If it's strictly an image quality issue then the epl1 can be had used for around 100 bucks. I'm not sure the OMD is 900 bucks better in image quality. It might be 900 bucks better if you include focus speed, ergonomics screen, evf etc.
