Re: Bridge Alternative - Lightroom

Interesting that you can buy Lightroom for less than Elements! In the US, a full new copy of Lightroom is $125 ($75 if you can qualify for the educational discount) while Elements is $90, but often on sale for much less. CS6 is $550 for the standard edition, $230 with the educational discount. So, in the US LR+E is $215 while CS6 is $550, or with the educational discount, LR+E is $165 and CS6 is $230. Either way, LR+E is much cheaper and gives you a better image organizing and processing tool. (But a less image editor.)

Having said that, if you really like bridge, and will need a full editor some times, at the prices you mentioned CS6 could be the best choice. Lightroom is more powerful for screening/organizing images, so it may still be that your best choice is just to get Lightroom and buy Elements later when it is on sale (often it is offered for around half price shortly before the new version is announced).
