It's easy - when you observe that the ratio of your over-exposed snaps on f/5.6, f/8, f/11 (but really heavy overexposed - more than 1 EV) starts to rise, than you know, that infection is here. It will be random at the beginning, but it inevitably ends so that you are not able to do non-overexposed image from f/2.8. When you look in the lens when clicking shutter release button on f/11 - there should be (in the moment of shutter) a very small hole - always the same - if it's not small - that's the cause of over-exposure - Sticking Aperture Blades - the aperture is not able to close itself.
