Like many others I shoot RAW+ JPEG.  Apart from the inconvenience oif filling up large cards quickly, and having to segregate in my filing system, I can see no downside.

RAW gives me the opportunity to get the most out of any 'special' shots, or recover something I have made a mistake with or that is outside the range of my camera.

JPEG is fine for regulr shots and snapshots.

I guess it depends a lot on what you do with your photos.  I tend to print a lot of 4x6 for family use, and select a few of each event/occasion for blowing up and displaying for a while.  The latter I get from RAW.

Incidentally I am about to put up another thread on RAW processing, but will keep it separate to see what responses I get
