Canon user here; curious about Leica lenses & IQ

Hello,

This is my first time posting in this forum. I've been a Canon shooter for many years. I've recently developed a curiosity for Leica lenses - they've been lauded with all kinds of superlatives, so I'm interested in understanding the praise bestowed on these exotic lenses and the images they produce.

I figure the best way towards this understanding is looking at appropriate comparisons made between the best Canon L lenses and Leica lenses. For example comparing the Canon 50mm F/1.2 L to an equivalent focal-length Leica lens, at various apertures, at the center and corners of the image. I did a search and nothing came up.

The resource I usually use for this unfortunately does not have a database of Leica lense:

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
