I cannot agree more. I am also in the "smaller is better" camp. The articulating screen is offering zero enhancements to image quality. The XZ-2 size is now pushing toward M4/3 where it is a different ball game.
Having said that, I will buy an XZ-2 if it drops to $200 next year, if I have not bought other brand that is.
