My GRD1 still bites

I still prefer the picture quality of my GRD1 set at ISO 800 in B & W mode compared to same setting with GRD 4. It just looks more film like (thanks to the noise). After attending the Daido Moriyama photo exhibition in my place, GRD1 comes closest to that feel. Other than B & W, this sluggish old beast falls well behind a GRD4. But this is the single good reason that I treasure this old warhorse. My Sigma DP2m and Leica M8 also produce excellent black and white photos, but they just do not have the analogue feel of my GRD1.
