Nikon D2H, D1x, D1h, D1, D2x, D2Xs, D200, D300, D3 Wireless Remote
As you know, Nikon's wireless infrared remote (ML-L3) for select Nikon cameras including the D40, D60, D80 D90, D5000, D5100, D7000, and P7000 will not work on the D200 and D300 cameras.
If you are looking for an alternative wireless remote, I found the perfect answer: Quality Accessories wireless 16 channel wireless remote. What is great about this little device, you can operate your shutter and automatic focusing on your camera from close up to 30m (about 30 yards) away. It will work on single shutter release as well as for continious release. This little hand held remote is about the same size as Nikon's ML-L3 except about two or two and a half time thicker (about the same size of the old five pack of chewing gum). It comes with the battery for the hand-held remote, but you have to use (2) AAA batteries for the control that attaches to the front of your camera. The camera attachment is about the same size as the remote, but a hair thicker. It dangles down from a cord attached to your camera about ten inches long. The neat thing about this, you can operate your camera using your remote from any direction, unlike Nikon's ML-L3 infrared remote where you have to be directly in front of your camera.
The remote can be purchased through Amazon.com for only $17.48 (USD).
