Dear Anders - Thank you for doing this. I don't have the equipment (considering the 20/1.7, but would like to have this issue resolved first).

Walt,

I have used the 20mm lens on my G1 since Sept 2009 and since May on my OM-D. So far I have been unaffected by the banding issue in spite of using the combination in available light conditions.  Mainly, of course, because I limit max ISO to 1600.

AIUI the banding only occurs in underexposed areas and higher ISOs. I think you need have few worries about a lens of excellent quality and such a reasonable price!

Again. Thank you for doing these experiments for us all.

Indeed. I have great curiosity, but am rather too lazy. ;-(   But there are some great experimenters out there, Anders and Timur among the best.
