you mean like an IR-Cut filter, to get rid of IR part of the light spectrum (not the other way around)?

if so, then I'm not sure that'll work. Canon sensors aren't sensitive to IR but color cast remain apparent nevertheless, as it is the near-IR part of spectrum (the reds) that causes problems.
