After a trip to Moab and surrounding areas 2 years ago, I found out about these smaller hoodoos... See Photos- http://www.laureneuph.com/my_blog/2011/05/goblin-valley-state-park-.html at Goblin Valley S.P.
If all goes well, I am headed to the southwest the first week of November and I would like to photograph the smaller hoodoos. Hoping that there are similar formations in Arizona or New Mexico. I read that Bryce Canyon may have similar formations but was hoping to spend most of my time in Arizona or New Mexico and not have to head up to Utah again unless I have to. I am driving from Florida, so it is a bit down the road:)
More important I am looking for locations that accessible at night. Federal or National Parks would be icing on the cake, since I have a free pass to all federal parks. Thanks in advance.
Edit: The Bisti Badlands looks promising but other suggestions welcome. http://www.desertusa.com/mag00/may/stories/bisti.html
