Red Tailed Hawk- D7000 - Sharp?

This guy landed 10 ft away from me and gave this look that I only get from my wife

This is with my old kit 18-70 lens. I wish I had my 70-300 with me, but at 10 ft this is a cropped shot at 70mm. Is it sharp?
