I'm getting used to composing at 16x9, and I like it.
However, in portrait layout, especially at wide FOVs (24mm) these are loooong and skiiiiny, and don't 'travel' well (for lack of a better word.). I spent a lot of time this weekend trying to crop 16x9 portraits down to 4x5 portrait; with quite bad results. The images lost most everything in the crop.
And honestly, shooting 16x9 portrait-layout, ends up with a bunch of converging lines, and not much subject, for me.
I'm wondering about the value of shooting portrait mode in 16x9...
