100 Yards of Heaven

At the top of the limestone valley of Wharfedale there is a gill, a narrow tributary valley containing a beck (stream) of unusual beauty; it is one of my favourite places to photograph and draws me back again and again (as some might have guessed:-)).

Here are some images taken there in the last few days, with some of the best light and colour autumn has to offer.

Hubberholme, hamlet nr the entrance to the gill (5 stitched images at 135mm)

Ash trees, Todd's Wood (smcA50)

Pools of Gold (smc m28)

Crook Beck and Pack Horse Bridge (Sigma 15-30)

Crook Force, (sigma 15-30)

Gathering Cloud, Cray Gill (smc A50) - the Gill lies behind the barn in the trees.
