Some information from owners about the S100 please

I am considering a move from my Sony WX10 to the S100.
There is one thing that really annoys me about the Sony WX10. When zooming in into a
displayed image all sorts of junk information is shown on the screen even when 'display
image only' is selected, this largely defeats the purpose of zooming in to see fine detail.

Looking at the S100 User Guide it would appear that location of the displayed area symbol is displayed and presumably cannot be turned off.

I basically never use flash. Again looking at the S100 User Guide it would appear that a large flash off symbol would be permanently displayed on the shooting screen. Is this so?

Also when exposure bracketing is selected is this mode retained after power off/on? The
Sony cameras I have had retain the setting but the Panasonic LX3 I had for a while did not.
