Yes, the same message found on both the Tv & M mode section.  I believe the shutter speed would go beyond that limit when you use the Av & P mode, where you could select a smaller f/stop with low ISO forcing the camera to do a longer exposure?

My SX30 has no such limit, can we call that an advancement?
