Yes, there should be no doubt that you call Canon Tech support.
My S100 had to be repaired twice (the second time because Canon didn't fix it correctly the first time) but it is working as good as ever and I'm still pleased with my camera and use it almost every day.
Get yours fixed while under warranty and enjoy it.
