I tried to color correct this in Lab mode with subtle adjustments to the a and b curves.

sharpened the luminosity channel and added a bit of contrast by pulling the blacks til no shadow detail was lost.

While I don't think my corrections are very 'correct', I highly recommend Dan Margulis' lessons on using the Lab channel for color correction, especially on such landscape pictures.

Another challenge I didn't adress here is the blue cast on the mountains behind. It is possible to correct those separately as well, but requires some time.
