The i1 Pro is still a nice instrument and this one seems to have had pretty low use. At the current price it looks like good value but the "Buy It Now" price may be too high.

The standard target with this model is 918 patches which gives pretty good profiles. There is a work-around to use more patches with the Gretag i1Match software but in my experience the profiles are no better.

If you want large patch counts you can use it with Argyll (free) for printer profiling if you are prepared to use the command line interface. Argyll can give very good profiles with much more control than you get with i1Match. I've made profiles for my 3800 that are better than those from i1Match.

On the other hand, if you are prepared to use Argyll then you might be better off with the i1Pro on eBay UK. No printer license but low use and currently only £102! Take a look here. This one ends today.
