My camcorder is Panasonic TM700 (in PAL territory, 1080/50P/50i).  Here's what I found with FCPX 10.0.4:
*Importing from camcorder internal memory: 1080/50P not imported; 1080/50i imported.

*Importing from camcorder with SDHC card inserted: 1080/50P not imported; 1080/50i imported.

*Importing from SDHC card inserted onto iMac SD card slot: 1080/50P imported; 1080/50i imported.

*Importing from AVCHD folders copied from both internal memory and SDHC card onto Macintosh HD: 1080/50P not imported; 1080/50i imported.

So as summary: 1080/50P footages from TM700 can only be imported directly in FCPX 10.0.4 when you have inserted the SD card into Mac computer's SD card slot.

For the 1080/50P footages stored on my camcorder's internal memory I have no choice but to use the UFUSoft Mac AVCHD Converter program to convert to Apple ProRes HQ and then import to FCPX 10.0.4.
