Macro focusing rail and flash bracket for D700 camera + Sigma 150 lens

I like that idea. I'll also need an arca swiss QR plate to attach the Novoflex rail to the Markins tripod head. It gets expensive but probably better quality than Velbon. Did you try the RRS before getting Novoflex?

Now about the flash. Do you use single flash unit with diffuser or the expensive dual flash (like Nikon R1C1) system?
