Anybody find the grip on the D600 too shallow/hard to grasp?

I was all excited when the D800 was announced, thinking that it would be basically be a smaller version of my D3s, but I realized when I read the specs that I would be hard pressed to find real use for a 36MP camera. So when the D600 was announced I thought that would be a great full frame backup to my D3s.

But at the camera store, when I handled the D600, I found the grip too shallow for my liking. I don't have particularly large hands, but I had to really squeeze to grasp the camera firmly. I handled the D800 and found it much more comfortable to hold: the grip seems more rounded and conforms to my hand better.

Anybody else have this experience?
