buying from new york or europe?

hello.

until now i thought buying a leica product from usa was the cheapest way. but now that im making a comparison with the tax included, it seems like usa prices are not better at all for me? assuming i buy the new m from new york b&h store (when its available of course) the price is 6950$. with tax added at ny rates, that comes to 7565$. thats about 5840€. if i buy from berlin meister its 6200€ tax included. not sure about the exact number but the vat return is about 10% so that would make the purchase 5580€.

im not very experienced in shopping in usa so what im asking is: am i miscalculating?
