Flash HVL-F43AM and NEX 7...

The NEX 7 does not have a built in wireless flash commander.  If you use the HVL-F20AM on top of the NEX 7 it can fire your HVL-F43AM wirelessly.  I purchased the smaller flash just so I could have a wireless flash option.

A firmware upgrade will not fix a hardware feature that's not already present within the camera.
