My Fountain Pens recently won on e bay! Beginner's Luck!

If you have a smart phone or tablet that's about all you need for something this size and just paint the light on.
This was very quickly light painted using the rear LED on my galaxy s2.

If you have software that works in layers, you could shoot different frames of the pens with painted light on different parts and then use the layers to blend the lights (even change the power/color) to get the look you wanted.
