GX200 owners: Which RAW conversion software do you use and why?
Oct 28, 2012

I'm using a Sony A77 and am unhappy with the results I'm getting using my preferred RAW conversion software -  RawTherapee. I'm currently looking for an alternative, and am willing to spend around $120 for a license. The two most likely candidates are DxO Optics Pro 8 and Lightroom 4. The problem is that the former doesn't support Ricoh GX200 files, so in principle it should be ruled out, but if Lightroom (or other commercial options) don't improve greatly on the results from RawTherapee (with GX200 files), then it doesn't really matter. Sorry for the confusing phrasing. What I'm basically asking is whether there's a commercial RAW conversion tool which people here believe is worth the money for use with the GX200, or should I just focus on getting the tool that works best with the A77 regardless of whether it supports Ricoh files not?

Thanks,

Prog.
