Is it sensible to upgrade from D40 to D3200?

I've had both D3200 and D5100 and much preferred the D3200.

The real world image quality is honestly better, it autofocuses faster because of the new Expeed3 processor, and the buttons have a better (more Nikon standard) layout - the D5100's buttons are all over the place because of the articulating screen.

The D3200 also has a slightly larger viewfinder, and much better movie control.
