Has anyone ever had DSLR damaged by 3rd party battery?

Yeah, he and I went to different schools together

But actually, I have bought 3rd party batteries from ebay and had mixed results. The first two I ever bought outlasted the OEM canon batteries. I have not had such good luck on repeated purchases however. Still, not bad though. I'd do it again and again.
