Most everything has been said, and I agree, my NEX 7 can equal or outperform any APS-C DSLR, and comes close to many FF cameras. Check the DxO marks. One of the main reasons I went with Nex is the DR. It gives a range and blending of tonalities that make a difference in almost any image.

A couple of people have mentioned how mediocre the NEX EVF is. I disagree with that. I have used DSLR's and other EVF, and now I use MF lenses almost exclusively with the EVF. This EVF is excellent.

Speaking of legacy lenses, some of the legacy primes are the only ones I have found that do the 7 sensor justice. Zeiss, Canon FD in my case, and i am sure there are others. The Zeiss 24 for E-mount may be just as good, but that extra zero matters; I prefer to spend $100 rather than $1000 for a lens, and _with practice_ MF can be almost as fast and even more accurate -- you know where your focus is -- than AF.
