Just an additional input to the above ones from a different angle: D800 will allow you to use far higher ISO speeds than your D70. For example, set your ISO at 800 and shoot all day long with any lens & aperture, no concern. For low light conditions easily go up to 3200 or even 6400; you will see the results being better than just acceptable. Under flourescent lights you will be shooting with 1/60 or 1/125s. For hand held shooting the new cameras offer far more convenience than ever.
