Was V2 design inspired by the Nikon F4 design?

No it was not, actually I even wrote about that already in this forum. The F4 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. It is a very harmonious and ergonomically great body. For me the most beautiful pro camera ever, I loved it. Great in a hand, fantastic balance and I still have one as a decoration behind glass.  Nikon's downfall from Nr.1 begun with F5/F100 versus EOS-1/EOS-3 and their IS L lenses.

Looks like done by technicians without any education or skill in industrial form design or human perception of harmony in shape.
