35 f/1.4 L question.. (am I crazy)

When taking into consideration all of these new product releases from Canon lately, am I crazy to be considering purchasing a new 35 f/1.4 L?  I really like this lens (I have rented one)...

Not looking for help with a decision - I have already made my decision to buy the lens.  Now I am just trying to figure out if now is a good time to buy.

Any thoughts along those lines of thought would be appreciated...

My instinct is to wait until the waters level out (so to speak)... Perhaps I am even now overlooking a viable alternative that I am ignorant of?
