You should be able to get Java 6 ( that's 1.6 ) from there.
You should be able to block the auto-update for Java using the Java control panel.
I'd like to say more that "should" but the years have taught me to not say "will" unless I've actually tried something on the specific machine.

That really clears it up. I'll see if I can uninstall Java 1.7 and install 1.6.
