Less expensive than the 10-18mm though. US $99 for converter and US $150mm for the 16mm, that's not a lot of money in photography terms.

Agreed. But since people mostly tend to be familiar with the $20-30 WA converters sold on bestbuy and frys etc so I meant to warn that the OP shouldn't expect a good quality converter to be similarly priced.
