Nikon 24mm 1.4g vs 28mm 1.8g

I currently have the 28mm 1.8g and while I like the image quality from it the build quality is somewhat lacking. The focus ring in particular just feels God-awful to me and for a $700 lens that really shouldn't be that way. I'm thinking about selling my 70-200mm VR in the near future and replacing it with an 85mm 1.4g as I won't really need the 70-200mm once I get out of school and stop shooting sports for my college's paper and I'm wondering if I should keep the 28mm 1.8g to go along with the 85mm 1.4g or sell it and put the money towards a 24mm 1.4g. I'm curious to hear from owners of the 24mm (and also the 28mm if there are any) how the focus ring feels on that lens and if you think it would be a worthwhile upgrade. If the 24mm's focus ring feels like my 60mm 2.8g then that's already a plus for me.
