NEX-6 : How accurate is the auto ISO?
1

I played around with my new NEX-6 and a bit confused with the auto ISO setting.

In my living room, the auto ISO always set to 3200.

Well, most of the time ...

When it did not, it set to 1600 ...

Why there is no in between? Like 2000 or 2500 ...

I also own the old NEX-5, which has auto ISO max to 1600. In this same room, I could get 1250.

While I have never got that on NEX-6.

Do I have to set the ISO manually all the time? Meaning: The NEX-6 auto ISO is useless!

I am not a pro, most of the time I rely on auto ISO. But, if it set to 3200 most of the time, I don't like that

Any advice?

Thanks.
