Somewhat OT - forced upgrades...

no fear Jim ,look up a nice little free proggie called classic shell ,it will remove the horrid tiled start page of win 8 and give you a start button back , the start button/menu is a bit XP-esque, but you will effectively have a win7 desktop with the metro interface all but , disabled.

while still retaining the "speed" benifits of the new win 8 OS.

your photo-editing will work as easy as with win 7 , maybe even a bit quicker .
